The United Kingdom is expected to account for the greatest number of oil and gas well decommissions in the North Sea. Between 2024 and 2033, the UK is forecast to dismantle 2,074 oil and gas wells in the North Sea and parts of the Irish Sea. This translates into roughly 76 percent of all decommissioning activity in the North Sea.
